We are Jonathan and Jane Emery. We live in a small hamlet on the Mendip Hills in Somerset, called Ashwick Oakhill. This is 5 miles from Shepton Mallet where the Bath and Bristol roads meet. We have both been involved with animals all our lives. We have competed at top level with our Welsh Cobs in the 'Private Driving', achieving great success.

After the setback of a personal illness, and then the loss of our rescue persians Percy and Bumble, we made a decision to 'think positive' and move forward, so we purchased our first colourpoint kittens. This led to the establishment of our cattery in 2006 now registered as Swingletreepersians.
A 'Swingletree' is part of the horse drawn vehicle ... so, this name now connects our two interests, horses and cats, together. |

(below) Our 2008 foal ... born early morning on June 9 whilst the Morning Star was still shining in the sky ... so, she is called 'Morning Star'.
And there she is over on the left, shining like the star she is in the light of our own star, the sun !
